An honorary member only as he sadly fails to fit into the requirements for the Guild on 2 points. Firstly he is a writer, not a cartoonist, and secondly, he's just too damn nice! Not evil at all! Our scientists have looked thoroughly but there is no evil in T whatsoever! He puts the fans first, he never makes promises he cannot keep, he even managed to impress Harlan Ellison! And no truly evil person can manage that! (A lot of good people have managed to anger/disgust Mr Ellison but that's not the point). So alas, until he either starts scrawling or stops saying 'the fans are what makes the strip' he will only be an honorary member. |

| It's a shame, because T does seem to follow the charter in some important respects. His foreshadowing is superb - witness the Japanese counting in Fans! or the references to childlessness in Cool Cat Studio. He keeps the readers guessing what will happen next, even if sometimes they guess right. And he times each piece so that the time between strips is just too long, dammit! Plus his recent alliance with Gisele Lagace can only make further use of his talents for evil. If only he wasn't so nice (sigh). | |
